Working on George Rostron & Eunice Hindley's other children (beyond Elizabeth, who was researched in the previous post)...
Samuel
Their oldest child, Samuel, was born in Manchester about 1863 (according to the 1871 and 1881 censuses where he is listed with his parents). While no 1901 census is evident for him yet, a solid possibility appears on the 1891, 1911, and 1921 censuses for Samuel. His wife, in this case, was Elizabeth Ann, they were the same age, and she was born in Hollinwood (next-door to Failsworth, where Samuel grew up). The 1911 census makes it clear that they were married in 1884 and had no children. A marriage was registered in the correct district in 1884 for a Samuel Rostron to Elizabeth Ann Schofield. While this couple has not been conclusively proven to match, they represent a highly likely possibility.
Eliza Ann
The next child proved to be easier to follow. Eliza Ann was living in the same 1871 and 1881 censuses with her parents. But by 1891, she had married George Hopley and was living in Miles Platting, Newton at 243 Oldham Rd. The additional 1901, 1911, and 1921 censuses provide the following timeline for her family:
-daughter Sarah Ann born about 1885 in Newton Heath (GRO birth index says 3rd quarter of 1884)
-son Herbert born about 1887 in Newton Heath (GRO says 1st quarter of 1887)
-son George Joseph born about 1896 in Newton Heath (GRO says 3rd quarter of 1895)
Eliza became a widow before the 1901 census. She also noted that she had born 3 children, with only 2 alive at the 1911 census (the boys). Her husband likely died in 1901 before the census was taken, according to this death index entry:
The daughter, Sarah Ann, appears to have died at the same time:
Presumably, Sarah Ann had no children since she died young. But at least one of her brothers did (Herbert was still unmarried living with his mother in the 1921 census, and it's not yet clear whether he married; he
likely died in 1933).
George Joseph
married Mary Elizabeth (or Lillie) Byrne, and had children Anthony George and Sheila Teresa (who has probably passed by now, but will not be added to the FamilySearch Tree until that can be proven). Family sources include the GRO birth indexes, the
1939 Register,
1921 census, and other various sources linked on
this online tree.

George died in 1948 (note this probate index entry):

Margaret
Margaret's posterity is detailed on this previously researched
online tree. She married twice, and had 5 children. All of these people were added to FamilySearch, including two additional children, Arthur (from her first husband) and William (discovered with the GRO indexes using her maiden name). These two boys had died young, according to the GRO death indexes, Arthur as an infant, and William at age 6.
Margaret's children, Beatrice, Elizabeth Ann, Wilfred and Eunice have families as follows. These have now been added and/or connected in FamilySearch's Tree (sources confirmed in the previously mentioned online tree at Ancestry):
(Beatrice's four children seem to have died childless, although Beatrice Jr. is still a question.)
(These two sons lived past childhood and may very well have living descendants, but that has yet to be proven.)
(No children have been found for Wilfred and his wife.)
(Eunice likely has living descendants through her son Ronald, but more research is needed to prove it.)
Alfred has proven difficult to follow, although a possible entry for him in the 1939 Register with his correct birthdate is
here.
*22 people added to FamilySearch's Tree = 80 potential ordinances
(and good news ... I am a distant cousin to Elizabeth's husband John Peel, so I'm qualified to offer proxy ordinances to her and her husband!)
George
George married Emily Wood, and they had two daughters: Edith and May. Quick attempts to follow these children proved unsuccessful, but it was discovered that George died before mid-1908 (since Emily is remarried for 3 years on the
1911 census to John Mallalieu).
*4 people added to FamilySearch's Tree = 20 potential ordinances
Robert
At age 36, Robert was single and living with his sister Eliza Ann and family (
1911 Census). He was still with her a decade later, and still single (
1921 Census). It is unknown whether or not he eventually married or had children.
Altogether, researching descendants of Robert Hindley through his daughter Eunice have led to the addition of 32 people = 134 potential ordinances!
